In the year 1429, she turned the tide of the Hundred Years’ War, giving life to the prophecies of an armed virgin ending France’s suffering. The pieces evoke her enchanting grace, her radiant power, and the mysterious force that guided her — shifting between the fragility of a girl and the unshakable might of a heroine. Each garment breathes life into Jeanne’s story, capturing her delicate vulnerability and her celestial ambience through sweeping, poetic silhouettes, intricate detailing, and opulent textures. “We wanted to create pieces that reawaken the mythic figure of Jeanne, allowing her to transcend time and space, to become more than a historical symbol: she is a living, breathing testament to the might of spirit and divine will,” say the designer duo Hila Aadnevik and Kristian Aadnevik. “Her story is one of godly intervention, tragic loss, and eternal fortitude, and we bring her vision to life through a sophisticated, deeply emotional collection. A testament to the complexities of femininity, it celebrates a woman whose heroism continues to resonate as a symbol of light, vigour, and passion.” Ethereal layers of soft tulle evoke a connection to the heavens, while corsetry, sculpted to perfection, evoke the iron strength of a warrior, cinching the waist in a gesture of both sensuality and courage, an eternal reminder of the force that lies within. Each garment is a narrative of a young woman guided by a higher calling, torn between human fragility and sacred power.
